# Platforms

#### The simplest obstacles are made using the ‘**Mover**’ component. So let’s place a platform that will move back and forth, which can help you jump a gap that’s too wide. Play around with placement until you’re happy, then + add the Mover to it.

Now you can alter the direction the platform will move in, and its speed. Make sure to select ‘**Yes**’ to ‘**Auto-Start**,’ otherwise you will have to create more logic to make it move.

Selecting ‘**Yes**’ on ‘**Yo-yo**’ will ensure the platform will move **constantly** back and forth, instead of once in one direction.

***Tip:*** Some components, like Mover, you can preview in the editor without having to test the game — just look for the triangular play button on the right-hand side of the menu: ▶️

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.mutate.games/guides/creating-game-logic-in-mutate/platforms.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
